7:14
And his fellow answered and said,
This [is] nothing else save the sword of
Gideon the son of Joash, a man of
Israel
: [for] into his hand hath God delivered
Midian, and all the host.
Gideon's
Sword is a Ministry aiming to equip
God's people with adequate Biblical
knowledge and understanding to enable
them to competently withstand false
teaching. When a Christian falls victim
to false teaching it is not usually
because the false teaching was
altogether convincing, or that there was
compelling truth in false doctrine. But
Christians fall victim to false teaching
because of their own ignorance. It is a
lack of Biblical knowledge and
understanding of Bible doctrine that
causes a Christian to allow false
teaching to become part of their belief
system.
Today, in the "information
age", our senses are inundated with
teaching from the various media.
Television, radio, written publications
and internet web sites have replaced the
public speaking arena and have become
saturated with blatant heresy and
deceptive insinuations specifically
intended to instill humanistic and
Catholic views. As a result, the world
has an altered understanding of
Christianity. Potential believers have
serious reservations about accepting
Jesus Christ as their Savior because
their perception of Christianity, and
the God Christians serve has been
relegated to a variation of Humanism.
Many Christians today, though saved,
have also been infected with these
heresies by subjecting themselves to the
authority of preachers, teachers, local
and syndicated talk show hosts and
heretically biased productions while in
an unstable state (2 Peter 2:1-22).
It is our responsibility, as Christians
who possess the truth, to proclaim the
truth to the world; not tinged with
imperfect sincerity or shaded with
humanistic doctrines; but by a God
inspired understanding of His nature
according to His inspired Word let us
preach the truth with complete
sincerity, unadulterated truth and
vehement zeal. Now is the time to speak
out and refute these false doctrines
because Satan is arranging a vast
deception to discourage sinners from
turning to the Savior.
As God used Gideon to lead a small group
of warriors to defeat all the host of
Midian, may this web site be used as a
resource for books, articles, tracts and
pamphlets, etc. written by Godly men to
proclaim the truth of God's Word, refute
false doctrines, and expose the
multitude of those who spread them.
